a deep connection to education

Blaise grew up with a huge respect for teachers, being raised by two herself. seeing her parents work each day to inspire, innovate and influence students from the new york city public school system gave blaise a huge respect for the art of teaching.

their work ethic inspires blaise in her own work and this perspective gives blaise even more love for the work, knowing her parents worked hard to give blaise opportunities they didn’t for THEMSELVES.

Blaise is ACTIVELY pursuing a minor in educational theatre at nyu steinhardt’s School of Culture, Education, and Human Development.

Personal Teaching PHILOSOPHY

The impulse to play is innate - it exists within us all, but as the work in our lives pile up, we often put fun and play at the backburner. i believe this impulse is key to freedom of expression.

with influences like the great viola spolin, blaise believes in the transformative power of play and spontaneity. she aims to foster creativity and encourage her students to know their potential is unlimited.

blaise has had the privilege of working as a teaching assistant, ensemble steward and camp assistant with young actors and has had the honor of meeting them where they are at, introducing work that is both rigorous and fun.
